UNDP, in collaboration with UNICEF in Turkmenistan, held a meeting with the country's student youth to mark the celebration of International Mother Earth Day. The meeting took place at the Institute of International Relations (IIR) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan on April 22, 2024.
During the meeting with students, UNDP and UNICEF specialists discussed topics such as the role of the younger generation in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and combating the climate crisis, climate education, creating more sustainable cities, responsible consumption, and waste management.
The meeting was organized as part of the "#TurkmenYouth4SDGs" Educational Sessions series, launched by UNDP in Turkmenistan in collaboration with the IIR to engage the country's student youth in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
