Investment Case for Tobacco Control in Lebanon

Tobacco is a is a significant threat to health and sustainable development. Tobacco causes premature death and preventable disease that results in high health costs and economic losses, widens socioeconomic inequalities, and impedes progress across the Sustainable Development Goals.

This report summarizes the costs and benefits—in health and economic terms—of implementing six key policy actions of the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control in Lebanon.
